The first one is Heisei. Which is Japanese for calm. I named him Heisei as he is literally the calmest cat I have ever see and owned. This dude is so calm that he will lay still and purr as you hair band his feet together. The hair band thing was partly to see how clam he really is and so that I give him a bath easier after him and Kuro got into some cleaning liquids. -_-
So, needless say Heisei isn't the problem. Kuro, the other one, is. Who is also Heisei's brother. Kuro constantly attack plays with Heisei at night causing both to knock things over, tear things up, and etc... Did a small experiment to make sure it was Kuro though as one morning we woke up to the sound system on the floor, the modem and router torn down, and Trowa's monitor tittering on the edge of his computer desk.
One night, I locked Kuro him self in the bathroom with a small litter box, some food, and water. Wake up in the morning and everything was fine. The following night, we locked both Kuro and Heisei together in the bathroom. Woke up and the bathroom was a complete disaster. TP ripped up, piss on the floor despite the fact that the litter box was in there, and to top it all off the shower curtain was literally ripped to shreds. -_- Next night, we locked just Heisei in the bathroom and left Kuro to be. We wake up and find all loose objects on both desks in the living room knocked off and plus Trowa's cell phone, that was on his desk, in the kitchen with teeth and claw marks on it. Best part, the screen was busted in several places.
We both decided then that Kuro has to go. Heisei's brother or not, that cat is too destructive to keep. We were going to try to find him a new home with someone who could deal with him, but he ruined that chance today. Again, we locked Kuro in the bathroom by himself all night. Through out the day everything is fine... until we get back from shooping. -_-
We get back from a 2 hour trip and everything is fine. Both cats were curled up in a pile on our bed. Trowa leaves to go to work and I put the groceries away. As I'm on the last sack, Heisei who is curious walks in and Kuro who looks still sleepy and a little mad with his tail twitching as walks in. Both go to the bathroom as the litter box is still there, but Kuro comes out without using it. I put a box of noodles up and notice he's staring at me. I stare back. He then looks at the litter box in the bathroom and then back at me. He did this a few times before blatantly squatting and pissing in the floor while staring at me.
Needless to say, I'm ticked off. Trowa is now ticked off as he wanted to know if Kuro got into any more trouble. We hate to do it, but Kuro has had a lot of chances and both cats know what is good and what is bad. I swear, they are like ying and yang. Anyways, we have decided to toss Kuro out. Actually, right now, he's outside the front door mewing and Heisei is every now and then meowing back sitting by the door. If he stays, then after a couple of days we're going to take him back in and see how he does. If not, then uh well. If he does and we do, then he's going to have to behave. Other wise we'll be tossing him out again and he wont be allowed back in.
But now, I have a question. If he does stay around and we take him back in, are their any little tricks that we can use, that aren't cruel, to get it into Kuro's thick skull that some things are not okay no matter what and make him more aware of what he does?
